The field of audio-visual and multimedia production aims to develop an understanding of the artistic and technical aspects of audio-visual communication. It involves performing radio, film, video and electronic production operations including cameras, lighting, and sound; production management; radio and television production and post production, production design and technical management. It also includes the design and creation of artistic graphics, illustration and animation using a multimedia platform.

What you will learn

Computer graphics

A course in computer graphics will develop your graphics skills, techniques, concepts, and management ability. Working in a computer lab, you will learn subjects like visual communications, computer design, drawing, aesthetics, sketching, computer programming, media dynamics, media production, computer animation and web design. Your skills will allow you to produce engineering drawings, technical manuals, multimedia products, marketing and advertising material, and web pages.

Animation and illustration

Animation and illustration courses teach both traditional and digital drawing techniques that provide a foundation for advanced animation coursework. You will learn how to apply technical, creative and theoretical perspectives in your creative work. Media technology

The study of media technology provides a theoretical understanding of media practices. You will also learn media skills and be kept up-to-date on the latest in digital and interactive media.
