The Heriot-Watt University Malaysia (HWUM) 10th Anniversary IMPACT Scholarship is introduced to recognise the outstanding Malaysian youth who have proven leadership, achievements and/or expertise in any area, role-modeled an inspiring personality and have contributed and impacted the community positively, including but not limited to sports, community services, leading clubs, societies, events or student organisations within and beyond schools, achievement in competitions and etc.
The HWUM 10th Anniversary IMPACT Scholarship awards successful applicants with a full (100%) tuition fee waiver for the entire duration of undergraduate study at HWUM. Read the full terms and conditions of the IMPACT Scholarship.
We invite all eligible Malaysian students who have recently completed secondary or high school or pre-university qualifications to apply for the HWUM 10th Anniversary IMPACT Scholarship to pursue foundation to undergraduate studies at HWUM.
Eligibility:
- This scholarship is open to Malaysian citizens only.
- This scholarship is open to students who have recently completed secondary or high school or pre-university qualifications.
- This scholarship is open to students who have not and/or are not currently enrolled at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia.
- The applicant must be able to submit and showcase the evidence of the achievements, contributions or impact made through the application. Please refer to Application Guidelines below.
- The applicant must meet the minimum academic results requirement stated in Results Requirement below.

Application Guidelines:
- Applicant must also submit the following items together with the completed Application Form:
- Personal Statement (not more than 500 words) on:
- Why do you wish to undertake the selected programme?
- How do you envisage this qualification will contribute to the development of your career in the future?
- Why should you be selected for this scholarship?
- The length of your My IMPACT video should be 2 minutes maximum.
- Your video must showcase your achievements or leadership or positive impact that you have contributed to the community around you.
- You are highly encouraged to include any video clips or photographs or any footage of the contribution you have made in your video. Where applicable, please ensure that you have obtained consent and approval for the content in your My IMPACT video.
- Your video should be uploaded as a private but shareable YouTube link.
- Scholarship Interview
- Only shortlisted applicants will be notified and invited to attend the scholarship interview.
- The interview will be conducted using a virtual platform via Microsoft Teams.
