The Bachelor of Music Composition (Hons.) offers students a choice of concentration areas in either Popular Music or Art Music. This three year programme will provide students with the opportunity to explore their musical ideas and own compositional voice through exposure to a diversity of musical style, theory and literature including orchestral techniques, counterpoint & tonal structure, new music, arranging, film scoring and music technology.
Applicants must pass an audition and interview conducted by
the Faculty of Music and All applicants must pass the MUET Band 1.
Pass STPM with at least three (3) principals including the General Paper
or its equivalent AND Pass SPM with at least five (5) credits including
Bahasa Malaysia and pass in English, Mathematics and History.
Pass Matriculation with at least Grade C (NGMP 2.00) including 3 other subjects
AND Pass SPM/SPMV with at least ve (5) credits including Bahasa Malaysia
and pass in English, Mathematics and History.
UiTM DIPLOMA IN MUSIC CANDIDATES
Diploma in Music from UiTM with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 OR
Diploma in Music from UiTM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and
a minimum of 2 years of working experience in related fields
