Hamsa Amged (Low Inter) IraqTaylor’s Language Centre Studying at TLC is interesting: The teachers are very nice, friendly and helpful. Malaysia is a modern country with many English speakers, so I am able to practise my English here. I believe that by practising English daily, one will pick up the language faster, just like how I am. I’m enjoying my studies at TLC very much! |

Christopher Chew Mun KitSchool of Engineering Engineering at Taylor’s is cool because learning takes place beyond the classroom. Students are challenged to think and innovate through many projects, thus making us more active and independent learners and give us the opportunity to experience what it would be like in the real working world. |

Joni Ong Ker ShingTaylor’s School of Architecture, Building and Design Taylor’s University provides a conducive study environment where I am able to excel academically and maximise my potential. The lecturers are highly proficient in their respective fields and constantly encourage us to progress. At Taylor’s University, the course syllabus is well-designed and organised, which allows me to explore ideas clearly and widely. With a varied mixture of students both local and international, I have gained a broader circle of friends, which adds colours to my social life. It has boosted my confidence to achieve my dream to become an architect. Organised school activities have also been rather exciting and constructive at the same time. |

![]() Louis PohSchool of Medicine "I was a very quiet person before. But after three months, I found myself turning into a very talkative person. To give an example, for our integrated science project on the topic Fruit Batteries and Its Potential, I learned to overcome my panic and fear of giving presentations. My communication and presentation skills have improved tremendously and I've become good at persuasion and debates. Doing this course also taught me to manage my time properly, do research work, increase my computer literacy and brush up on my practical skills. These skills gave me the confidence to face difficult times like sitting for exams. To manage my time, I prepare a timetable for myself and discipline myself to follow it in order to complete my to-do list. I am very happy to have improved myself in many areas and to learn so many things in this course." |

Leonard Leao Xi LongSchool of Communication It was not an easy decision. There was a lot of compromise between what I wanted and what my parents thought was best for me. My final decision was based on the subjects offered, cost and the fact that this degree is widely recognized. What I studied deals with a wide range of areas, such as advertising, broadcasting, journalism and marketing. I learn everything from writing feature stories to creating promotional materials and editing video. This course gives me the knowledge to be an all-rounder in whatever field I choose to work in. I also find it exhilarating to try new things and win some goodies along the way. I have participated and won awards in several competitions e.g. BMW Shorties, Media One Asia MyLifeMyWay, Filmmaker Annonymous and Kancil Awards. I know I made the right decision to study this course because I have never experienced so much creative freedom and I could not be happier. |

Teoh Yun KitSchool of Biosciences I’ve always had an interest in biological sciences and studying in Taylor’s has been fun, exciting and engaging! I have gained a better understanding of how living things function – every living thing is a complete yet mysterious piece of working machinery. I enjoyed subjects like Virology, Microbiology and Immunology. |

Joshua Tan Wyn WyeThe Design School at Taylor’s This course is perfect for me to channel my passion and develop my creativity. Simply put, interior design is the heart and soul of space. Through this course, I learn various aspects of how to create liveable and beautiful interior spaces that satisfy the needs of the people using them. I have discovered the levels of thought and depth it takes and the long hours required to achieve a profound design. Taylor’s rocks because of its people! I get to meet so many new people who touch my life in many ways, big and small. It is the people that give this place life and colour. I have participated in the Malaysian Society of Interior Designers (MSID) Satu, Tiga Belas and Empat Belas competitions, where design students from various institutions get to meet and inspire each other through exciting activities and challenges. In the future, I would love to work with famous and inspiring designers such as Karim Rashid. |

Christine Teo Yi JiaSchool of Biosciences I chose to study biomedical science because I am interested in how other organisms are used in human research, as well as how our body works from a molecular aspect. I enjoy practical classes the most because I get to perform experiments hands-on and not just study theories which can get boring sometimes. My favourite hangout on the campus is the library which oversees the lakeside. |
